Virgo fixes the problem and Libra manages the atmosphere around it, and this pairing spends years discovering that these are not the same job.

The two sit beside each other on the wheel at 30 degrees. Being neighbours at that distance is a semisextile, which supplies no shared element and no shared cross, so nothing about the other one's method is intuitive. Adjacency is the whole of what these two are given, and it turns out to be more useful than it sounds.

What that produces is a division neither planned: Libra handles the people and Virgo handles the thing itself.

The angle between Virgo and Libra

Virgo and Libra stand 30° apart on the zodiac wheel, and astrology calls that distance the Semisextile. The angle never changes: it is the same for every pair of these two signs, whatever else the two charts hold.

This pair can take a very long time to decide anything, for entirely different reasons.

Virgo hesitates because the information is incomplete and a decision made on bad data is worse than no decision. Libra hesitates because someone will be disappointed and the balance has not been found.

Put together, the delays multiply rather than cancel, and both are quietly waiting for the other to supply the certainty neither has.

Where the pair is strong

Anything that has to be both correct and well received. A difficult letter, a family arrangement, a piece of work that will be judged by people who matter — Virgo gets it right and Libra makes sure it lands.

This is a genuinely rare combination of skills, and the pair uses it far less deliberately than it should.

Mutable and cardinal

Libra opens and Virgo adjusts, so Libra tends to set the direction and Virgo tends to absorb the consequences.

Over time that can become uneven without either noticing, since Virgo does not complain until a good deal has accumulated and Libra does not ask, on the grounds that everything appeared to be fine.

Where this pair rubs

The rub is honesty. Virgo says the true thing plainly and is bewildered to find it caused an injury. Libra says the version that keeps the evening intact, and Virgo eventually discovers there was another version, which reads as being handled.

Both are behaving well by their own standards, and each has a good deal of evidence for it. Neither standard is available to the other by instinct, and neither one is willing to abandon it, and this is the pairing where saying so directly, once, saves several years of small resentments on both sides.
