Give the model the numbers, and it will do the reading
Each guide hands you the prompt to work from: some compute your own data on the spot, others walk through worked examples you can adapt.
Language models are unusually good at interpretation and unusually bad at astronomy. Ask one where Saturn stood on the morning you were born and it will answer with a degree it has effectively made up, then build a paragraph of convincing psychology on top of it. The problem is never the writing; it is the arithmetic underneath the writing.
These guides split the two jobs. The calculation happens here, with the Swiss Ephemeris for charts and the standard reductions for numbers, and the result is packed into a prompt that also tells the model what it may not do: no recalculating, no inventing an aspect that is not in the list, no rising sign when the birth time is unknown. The model gets a fact sheet and a brief. You get an answer you can check line by line against the data you pasted.

Questions
Because it will answer either way, and you cannot tell the difference from the outside. A model asked to cast a chart produces plausible degrees and a fluent reading built on them. A prompt from these pages carries positions computed by an ephemeris, so what the model adds is interpretation rather than invention.
Not by these pages. The calculation runs on our server, the prompt returns to your browser, and copying it into a chat is a step you take yourself. The separate AI reading feature inside the calculators does pass chart text to a model provider, as the terms of use say.
All the widely used ones handle them, since the prompt is plain text with explicit instructions rather than anything model-specific. Their styles differ more than their accuracy does, so the useful experiment is to paste the same block into two of them and compare which one keeps quoting your actual placements.
No. Each prompt carries its own instructions and closes by asking the model for three follow-up questions, so the conversation has somewhere to go next. Knowing the vocabulary helps you challenge an answer, and each guide points out where a model tends to slip, so you learn what to check as you go.
