The characteristic hesitation is not mid-project, it is a second before acting. The whole apparatus of consequence switches on at once — what this costs, who watches it fail, whether the qualification is really there — and then the impulse wins anyway, so the action comes out harder and faster than intended, pushed through the doubt by force. Onlookers file that as impatience. From the inside it is closer to the opposite: a delay overcome loudly, by somebody who needed the noise to get past it.

Frustration is the standard weather when a fast reflex is wired to a slow standard. Something obvious needs doing, the requirement to check it first arrives on schedule, and the interval between them fills with annoyance aimed inward.

It does not stay inward. It surfaces as terseness with people who need longer, or as a decision taken alone because consulting anyone would have added one more wait. Both are the same mechanism pointed at different targets, and both are usually followed by an apology nobody else thought was necessary.

Authority is the friction point. An instruction from somebody who holds the position without demonstrable skill lands badly here, and the objection tends to be voiced early in a working relationship instead of saved for later. That candour builds a two-sided reputation: unmanageable in a hierarchy that runs on deference, invaluable in one that runs on results. The unexpected part comes once the authority is yours, when the same standard turns inward and gets considerably harsher than anything a manager ever applied to you.

Fall is a mismatch of method, not a shortage of strength. This planet builds by adding time; this sign spends by ignition, so the placement runs a permanent conversion between the two and the conversion is never free.

What comes back for the price is competence with no coasting in it. Skill acquired against your own grain stays conscious, which makes it teachable, portable and unusually resistant to the moment when motivation stops arriving on its own.
