Your emotions do not build. They arrive complete, usually within a second of whatever caused them, and they are visible on you long before you have decided whether you want them to be.

With the Moon in Aries, the instinct that handles comfort and safety has borrowed the reflexes of a sign built for action. When something is wrong your first impulse is to do something about it immediately — leave, confront, fix, move — and sitting with a feeling is the single hardest thing this placement is ever asked to do. Frustration is your default translation for almost everything uncomfortable — Mars rules Aries, and it shows. Fear, hurt and disappointment tend to come out as irritation first and reveal themselves later.

How you actually calm down

Not reassurance, and rarely a conversation about your feelings. What settles you is discharge: a walk taken at speed, a hard hour of physical effort, a decision made and acted on the same evening.

This is worth telling the people close to you, because their instinct will be to sit you down and talk, which raises the pressure instead of releasing it. Twenty minutes of movement first, conversation after, and you become an entirely reasonable person to negotiate with. Deciding something also works, even when the decision is small and only half of the problem. What your system reads as safety is momentum, and any evidence that the situation is no longer stuck will do.

The short storm

An outburst from you lasts minutes and closes cleanly. You say the sharp thing, feel the pressure drop, and move on with no residue whatsoever — which is exactly why you are so often baffled to find the other person still shaken hours later.

The asymmetry is real and it is not their fault. Your system resets; most do not.

What repairs it is a habit rather than an apology: going back, briefly, once you are calm, and saying plainly that the matter is finished on your side. You already know this. What you underestimate is that without the sentence, the other person is left assuming the fight is still running.

Independence as a need

You need to be able to leave. Not necessarily to leave — to have the option — and any arrangement that quietly removes it will make you restless long before you can explain why.

This shows up in small preferences: your own transport, your own money, the ability to say no to a weekend plan without a discussion about it. These read as prickly to people who feel loved by being included in everything, and for you they are simply the conditions under which closeness is comfortable rather than confining. Said out loud early in a relationship, it saves years of misreading. Nobody has to interpret your need for an evening alone as the beginning of an exit if you have already explained that it is maintenance.

Not a bad temper

The stereotype attached to this position is a difficult person on a hair trigger. The accurate version is a fast one with no filter between feeling and expression, which is far more often exhausting for you than dangerous for anyone else.

And there is a considerable upside that rarely gets mentioned: nobody has to guess where they stand with you, nothing festers for years, and in a genuine emergency you are already moving while everyone else is still processing the news. Friends who have been through something bad with you tend to remember that part rather than the sharpness.
