Two Taurus arrange their life quickly and then stop arranging it. Who cooks, whose family gets Christmas, which of them handles money, how much of the week is spent with other people — all of it is worked out in the first year, sensibly and without much argument, and then it hardens.
Neither experiences this as a decision. It feels like the way things are, and the way things are is the one category a Taurus does not routinely question. Twenty years later the arrangement is still running, still comfortable, and still answering a question that was asked when they were different people.
One sign, twice over
Both charts start from the same point of the wheel — 0°, the Conjunction. Nothing here separates the two, and nothing balances them either.
Both signs belong to one element: Earth. The pair reacts to what happens the same way before a word is said about it.
Both signs belong to the same cross: Fixed. They meet a change on the same beat, and neither of them is the one who gives way first.
Both signs answer to one planet, Venus, which is why the pair recognises itself almost at once.
Settled early, and well
It is worth saying that the early settlement is usually good. Both are practical, neither is careless with money, and the division of labour they reach is fair by any outside measure.
That is precisely why it never gets audited. A bad arrangement generates complaints and gets revised; a good one generates nothing at all, and this pair takes the absence of complaint as evidence rather than as silence.
The unasked review
The question no one in this house puts is whether the thing that suited them both then suits either of them now. Raising it would mean proposing a change, and proposing a change means saying the present version is not enough, which neither will say about the other's work.
A conjunction gives the pair no third position to ask from. Both are on the same ground, both dislike disturbance, and the review that another sign would have forced simply never happens.
What is genuinely gained
In exchange the pair gets something most people never have: a life that is not renegotiated every eighteen months. Promises hold, plans survive, and neither is ever tested about whether they meant it.
Both of these two have usually spent time with people who treated every arrangement as provisional, and neither has any wish to go back to it.
What doubles, and what is missing
The rub is that dissatisfaction here has nowhere to go. Neither raises the volume, neither escalates, so an unhappiness is expressed as a shortened sentence, a chore not done, an unusually polite week.
In another pairing somebody would have made the fuss — named the problem badly on the first evening and got it over with. Here it can go unnamed for a year while both wait for a natural moment, which is not a thing that occurs by itself.
What works is treating the arrangement as something with a date on it rather than a fact about the world: a stated, repeated occasion for saying what has stopped fitting.
Compare the real charts
A Sun sign is only the outline. A synastry chart puts two full birth charts side by side — Moon, Venus, Mars and the houses — and shows where the two of you actually meet.

Taurus and Taurus: common questions
Ask either of them who handles the money and both give the same answer without a pause, and neither remembers the conversation that settled it. That exchange is the whole pairing, and it is also why the question gets asked about them at all: from outside, nobody can tell whether the two of them are content or merely finished deciding, and after enough years the distinction is not visible from inside either.
Less often with each other than with the arrangement, which is a different problem and an easier one. Both enjoy repetition and neither finds routine oppressive. The staleness belongs to a division of the week that was decided years ago for reasons that have since expired.
Slowly, and usually by outlasting it rather than by settling it. Neither raises the temperature and neither concedes the point, so the disagreement is absorbed into the household and stops being mentioned. That keeps the peace and clears nothing, which is why the same subject returns.
